BioI'm a widow, after 28 yrs. of marriage my hubby died at age 47, I was 45. Now 7 years later I am still single. My beautiful daughter died last year at age 23 and my granddaughter has come to live with me. I keep busy lately with doing a lot of knitting. I have crocheted since I was around 10 yrs. old. I tried knitting many times since my mother was a great knitter. I just wanted the project to move faster like in crochet. But recently I gave it another try. I tried smaller needles and got that small precise feeling that I love in any work I do. I have done tiny tiny counted cross stitch, I have crocheted christening dresses in small pearl thread. I discoved 2.75mm DPN's. I am in love. I have only been knitting a short time and I have made 2 pairs of socks. I also made a felted hat. That was fun and I am working on another. I love wool. I just want wool and more wool. I throw in a few rows of bright silk in my felted hats.
I think this knitting is keeping me busy and not grieving so much for my daughter. Thank you God for all these sheep. I am your sheep too. I will follow you!!!!!
